Guides
As I see it, what we need is a "How-To" for each core aspect of the radio. We also need a separate "Geeks guide" so that people can fix stuff if it goes wrong and work towards improving the provision.
The core technical aspects of the radio are:

There's also some stuff which, when it works properly, should be completely invisible. On the other hand, when it breaks, it's the trickiest to fix. It doesn't make a lot of sense to write a how to, but it's useful to have a technical overview:
Maintenance
Monthly (Steve only)
- Search for .wav files and convert to .mp3 using CDex.
- Check for a lack of hard drive space. Archive or delete as necessary.
- Log off studio account and log on to zzz account, run Registry Mechanic then Perfect Disk (defragmenter). Reboot. This will take around an hour.
6-monthly
- Shut down both computers, take covers off, remove processor fans and vacuum clean heatsinks and entire inside of the cases, including internal and external vents on the Power Supply. Boot up. Vacuum the keyboard and mouse.
- PAT visual inspection of all equipment.
Yearly
- PAT full test of all equipment.
